Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience dry weather today and Saturday, while heat intensity is likely to persist in the plains.

According to the Meteorological Department, the sky may remain partly cloudy in various districts, and light rain accompanied by strong winds and thunder is expected at some places.

The department said that Chitral, Swat, Shangla, Upper and Lower Dir, Buner, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Torghar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Orakzai, Kurram, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, and Waziristan may witness partly cloudy weather with chances of light rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms at isolated locations.

Dust storms and strong winds are also expected in plain areas during this period.

For Saturday, the forecast predicts mostly dry and partly cloudy weather across the province, while light rain and thunderstorms are expected at isolated places in Chitral, Swat, Shangla, Upper and Lower Dir, Buner, Malakand, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Kohistan, Torghar, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Orakzai, Kurram, and Waziristan.

During the last 24 hours, weather remained mostly dry in most districts of the province. However, light rain along with gusty winds and thunderstorms was recorded in parts of Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Dir, Swat, Chitral, Kurram, and Dera Ismail Khan.
