BANNU, August 7: Authorities of Education Department have asked the internally displaced persons of North Waziristan to vacate schools in Bannu till 20 August.

There are 1,432 schools in Bannu, in which 844 schools are accommodating about 1250 displaced families.

The District Education Officer Bannu, Mr Fazal Sadiq Khan, says that there were about 123000 students enrolled at schools in Bannu and that they have warned IDPs to vacate schools for education of children.

“We want IDPs to vacate schools because classes will start on first of September,” he said.

He added that they had prepared 144 schools, which could also accommodate families after 1 September.
