Three suspected militants were killed in a powerful explosion while allegedly assembling an improvised explosive device (IED) in the village of Kot Kundian in Tehsil Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan.
According to police officials, the blast occurred during the bomb-making process, resulting in the immediate deaths of all three individuals on the spot.
Authorities have identified two of the deceased as Sahib Khan, a resident of Tank district, and Turaab, hailing from South Waziristan. The identity of the third individual has yet to be confirmed.

Following the incident, security forces and the Bomb Disposal Squad swiftly cordoned off the area, collected forensic evidence, and launched a search operation to ensure there were no other threats in the vicinity.
Initial investigations suggest that the militants were planning a terrorist attack when the explosive material accidentally detonated.
Police have confirmed that further inquiries are underway to uncover more details about the incident and any possible network linked to the deceased.
