DIR, October 20: The annual sports competitions have started between state-run schools of Chakyatan Circle in Upper Dir district.
Along with the cricket, volleyball and badminton matches are also part of the sports event.
The first match took place between Gamseer High School and Gandigaar Secondary School at the Khankas ground. The Gandigaar School team won the toss and scored 77 runs at the loss of nine wickets in 10 overs. The Gamser School’s team chased down the target and won the match over the loss of 3 wickets.
Such tournaments are organised each year in Upper Dir district, where all the schools are divided into four circles and the winning teams are awarded with the prizes at the end of the sports event.
