Squash-in-Peshawar

PESHAWAR, August 21: The International Squash Championship has started at the Hashim Khan Squash Complex in the provincial capital today.

A total of 25 national level players will participate in the event. Vice-president of Pakistan Squash Federation and president of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Squash Association, Mr Qamar Zaman, says that for the first time after 2003, the World Squash Federation is conducting squash championship in Pakistan, offering cash prize of one million rupees.

He adds that the main reason behind organising the tournament is to promote squash in Pakistan.
