Islamabad High Court has scheduled a hearing for the petition challenging the ban on the social media platform 'X' on February 6. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq will preside over the case.
The last hearing on the petition took place on April 17, 2024. Although the case was listed for hearings on May 2 and June 11, no proceedings occurred on these dates.

On November 22, a miscellaneous petition seeking an early hearing of the case was accepted. However, Chief Justice Aamer Farooq instructed that the matter be listed after the winter recess.
The upcoming hearing will determine the course of action regarding the contested ban on the popular social media app.
