A suicide blast, target the district court in Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon, left 12 people dead and 27 others injured. The explosion occurred at around 12:30 pm.

According to initial reports, the blast took place inside a vehicle, and the sound of the explosion was heard across the surrounding areas. 

The vehicle caught fire immediately after the detonation, and nearby parked cars were also engulfed in flames. At least 12 people, including lawyers and petitioners, were injured in the incident.

Police officials said the court area was crowded at the time of the blast, resulting in several civilians being wounded. The injured were shifted to PIMS Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Police cordoned off the area soon after the explosion and launched an investigation to determine the nature of the blast and identify those responsible. Further inquiries are underway.
