Chairman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Subdivision Wazir in Bannu, Malik Mastu Khan, along with FR Bannu Nazim Asadullah Abdullah and his guard, Misbahuddin, have reportedly gone missing under mysterious circumstances.
The trio had traveled to attend the funeral prayers of KP Housing Director Ghazi Nawaz Sherani in Drazinda. Their vehicle was later found abandoned on the roadside, while their mobile phones remained switched off, raising fears of abduction.
Authorities are investigating the case, and locals are urging for enhanced security in the region to prevent such incidents.

This incident has sparked concerns, especially as it follows a recent kidnapping in the region. On January 9, 16 employees of the Atomic Energy Mine Project in Laki Marwat were abducted by unidentified assailants while en route to a uranium and plutonium mine.
The assailants set their vehicle on fire before fleeing. While eight of the kidnapped employees were recovered safely the next day, the whereabouts of others remain uncertain.
On November 19 last year, tribal leader Malik Khudi Khel was tragically killed along with his family in Bannu’s Janikhel area by unidentified assailants.
According to sources, the incident occurred in the Seen Tanga Waki locality, where the vehicle carrying Malik Khudi Khel and his family was ambushed. The attack led to widespread grief and outrage among the local community, with calls for justice and improved security measures in the region.
