At Rangin Abad, on the Kohat boundary in the Karak area, a police vehicle transporting prisoners for a court appearance was fired upon. As a result, two prisoners were killed and one police officer was injured.

Rescue 1122 teams immediately reached the scene and transferred the bodies of the deceased to the Tehsil Headquarter Hospital in Banda Daud Shah.

 The deceased prisoners were identified as Zohaib Khan and Nazran Allah, both reportedly from Sarki Logar.

The police have launched a search operation against the suspects, and investigations are ongoing.
