KFC opens school in Mardan
KFC and Million Smiles Foundation Inaugurate School for Underprivileged Youth of Mardan

MARDAN: KFC Pakistan joined hands with Million Smiles Foundation (“MSF”) under their CSR platform: Mitao Book, to educate “Out of School Children” in Mardan. Million Smiles Foundation School – KFC Campus, Mardan will educate more than 250 children as well as provide them with school essentials, including uniforms, School bags, School shoes, curriculum, teacher’s training, and development.

The School was inaugurated by Raza Pirbhai – CEO of KFC Pakistan, and Zeshan Afzal – Vice Chairperson of MSF, at a ceremony at the newly repurposed campus.  The event was attended by the senior leadership of KFC Pakistan & MSF.
Both organizations agreed to work together to support education especially for “Girl Child” and a national Campaign of: پڑھے گی بیٹی، بڑھے گا پاکستان!

At the ceremony, Raza Pirbhai spoke about KFC Pakistan’s dedication to empowering women through education to make them stronger members of the community. He expressed pride over the 600+ women working across KFC Pakistan across all levels of the organization. He hoped that this new campus will go a long way in reducing gender inequalities in the country.

In his opening remarks, Zeshan Afzal emphasized the importance of grassroots change that can only be brought about through education. He thanked KFC Pakistan for their support, stating that the private sector’s involvement in bettering the country’s landscape will support thousands of young girls across Pakistan to get access to education. He concluded his remarks by saying one educated daughter can give you a whole educated Nation.
Both organizations will be closely working to support education initiatives for “Out of School Children” across Pakistan.

This school is KFC’s latest CSR Mitao Bhook initiative towards giving back to the community. The Mitao Bhook’s efforts focus on Education, Diversity, and Inclusion. Mitao Bhook is currently providing quality education to over 5,000 students across all educational levels in Pakistan and maintaining a 2500+ strong education-to-employment ecosystem for deaf individuals in the country.
