In a major anti-narcotics operation, Bara police in Khyber district seized drugs worth millions of rupees hidden inside a tractor loader and arrested a smuggler.
According to sources, on the directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Rai Mazhar Iqbal, police intensified operations against drug dealers and their facilitators across the district. During a special checkpoint set up in Bar Qamber Khel under the supervision of Circle Officer Bara, Sawalzar Khan, police stopped a suspicious tractor loader. Upon inspection, they discovered a large quantity of drugs skillfully concealed in the vehicle’s compartment, including 125 kg of opium and 200 kg of hashish.

The police swiftly arrested one suspect, who has been shifted to custody for interrogation.
DPO Rai Mazhar Iqbal commended the police team for their successful operation and ordered further intensifying the anti-drug crackdown. He stated, “The police are taking all possible measures to eradicate the menace of drugs. The crackdown will continue indiscriminately to protect the younger generation from this scourge.”
