PESHAWAR, April 25: Members of several welfare bodies and parties have protested the killing of a resident of Khyber Agency in the custody of Punjab police.
The protest was jointly staged by the members of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Khyber Agency, Tehreek-e-Mutasireen, Khyber Students Federation and FATA Students Federation.
The demonstrators told journalists in front of the Peshawar Press Club that on 24 April, the Lahore Police arrested a private security guard on the basis of suspicion and later tortured him to death.
They asked the government to investigate the incident.
