PESHAWAR, October 18: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Mr Pervez Khattak, has approved establishment of the Indus Hospital in the provincial capital Peshawar where patients will be provided free medication.

In a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, the authorities approved allocation of 100 kanals land for the establishment of the hospital. The meeting was informed that the responsibility of hospital’s construction had already been taken by a private organisation.

Officials say the hospital will be equipped with modern machineries and that it will offer all kinds of medicines and other services free of cost.

In addition to the research related activities, the hospital will also have an Out-Patient Department (OPD) and other sections such as Emergency, Cardiology, Orthopaedics, etc.
