The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has called on the Kurram Peace Jirga to identify and hand over those involved in the attack on Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan that took place yesterday.
According to sources, the attack on the assistant commissioner was aimed at sabotaging the Grand Jirga in Kohat and the subsequent peace agreement, but despite the attempt, the jirga was successfully held, with both parties assuring the government of their full cooperation.
Sources further stated that under the peace agreement, both parties and the peace committee have guaranteed the continuation of peace. Strict action will be taken against those responsible for the attack on the assistant commissioner, and under the agreement, both sides are committed to supporting the government in taking action against troublemakers.

Meanwhile, Assistant Commissioner Saeed Manan remains under treatment at the hospital and is reported to be out of danger.
The attack on the assistant commissioner occurred in Boshera, Kurram, leaving three security personnel injured, one of whom succumbed to his injuries.
This incident follows an earlier attack on Lower Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud, who was also shot and injured.
It is worth noting that on January 1, both parties signed an agreement, under which they were to surrender weapons and dismantle bunkers to ensure lasting peace in the region.
