PESHAWAR, June 7: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to give interest-free loans up of 2 million rupees each to the skilled youth.

This was decided at a provincial cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Pervez Khattak.

After the meeting, Minister for Information Shah Farman told journalists that they had allocated funds worth 120 million rupees for the project “Youth Challenges”.

These loans would be given to the youngsters between the age group of 18 to 30 years, who have done at least six-month technical course from a registered institute.

He added that there was no interest on the loan and that it would be returned in three years tenure in installments.

The information minister said the procedure would be completed with cooperation of the Bank of Khyber and Small and Medium Enterprises Authority.
