PESHAWAR, May 2: The provincial government has provided compensation worth 10.4 million rupees to the traders who had suffered in the Qissa Khwani bomb blast.
A ceremony was held in the provincial capital Peshawar yesterday, where Deputy Commissioner Zaheer-ul-Islam distributed the cash among 36 affected shopkeepers.
However, some shopkeepers complained that they were not compensated for the losses they had suffered in the bombing. They also staged a protest camp in the bazaar.
The Qissa Khwani bomb blast claimed about 40 lives in September last year.
