PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has granted the status of provincial ministers to four special advisers and assistants to Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday.
A notification in this regard was issued by the provincial administrative department, said that the status of ministers has been granted to four Advisers and Special Assistants of Chief Minister with immediate effect.
The new KP ministers, who will take the oath, are Member Provincial Assembly Ziaullah Khan Bangash, who has worked as Adviser to Chief Minister on Elementary and Secondary education, since the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf government has taken the oath after July 25, 2018 election.
The status of a minister was also granted to Himayat Ullah Khan, who has worked as Adviser to CM on Energy and Power. The MPA Abdul Karim Khan, with his current portfolio as Special Assistant to CM for Industry and Commerce and MPA Kamran Khan Bangash, Special Assistant for Science and Technology and IT will also take oath as provincial ministers.
A separate notification was issued by the administrative department saying that the status of minister has also been granted to adviser to chief minister on Tribal affairs, Muhammad Ajmal Wazir with immediate effect.
KP Ombudsperson for creating awareness against harassment
PESHAWAR: The provincial Ombudsperson has asked the District Social Welfare Officers to create awareness in the society for the protection of women against harassment at the workplace on Thursday.
Official notification was issued said that charitable and non-governmental organization should be engaged in promotion, protection and enforcement of human rights in their respective districts. The notification further added that the ombudsperson is trying to ensure proper and equitable working environment to eliminate harassment at workplace by providing access to justice at the district level.
This will especially help all those who are not able to reach the Secretariat.
The designated District Social Welfare Officers have given the responsibility to facilitate the complainants to reach the Ombudsperson Secretariat. The District Welfare Officers work includes assisting complainants, it added.
