
PESHAWAR, July 23: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has inaugurated a scheme to provide subsidised flour and ghee to underprivileged people.
Under the scheme, 5.6 million people would get a monthly subsidy of 600 rupees each. The scheme was inaugurated by Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan on 22 July.
According to a provincial government notification, the list of underprivileged and deserving people, made for the Banzair Income Support Programme, is being used for this scheme as well.
The beneficiaries will get a 40kg sack floor on discount of 10 rupees compared to local markets and 5kg ghee pack with a subsidy of 40 rupees.
