
PESHAWAR, August 15: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released 4.32 billion rupees for four electricity projects.
According to a notification of the national electric company WAPDA, the government has released 1.12 billion rupees and 1.6 million rupees for Swat and Kalam Dairal projects, respectively, over 1.37 billion for the Mataltan scheme 1.15 billion rupees for Laavi project, and eight million rupees for checking the feasibility of sites.
The funds were released for 2013-14 and 2014-15. The statement says that the Matanai hydropower project required 3.5 billion rupees, and the power projects of fiscal year 2014-15 required 105 billion rupees.
