KP govt to provide loans to traders in tribal districts

PESHAWAR: Adviser to Chief Minister on Tribal districts Ajmal Wazir has revealed that KP government will provide loans to traders in tribal districts with the aim to revive business activities after the restoration of peace.

He added that industrial zones will be established in newly merged districts that will also be helpful in creating job opportunities. He was talking to a delegation of traders from South Waziristan led by member Provincial Assembly-elect Iqbal Wazir on Tuesday.

During the meeting, the delegation raised the issue of destroyed shops in Mir Ali Bazar and asked for compensation to the shop owners. They informed the adviser about the issues faced by the traders and the business community in the war-affected district and asked the government for facilities to revive the damaged business centres.

The MPA-elect has asked the CM adviser that it is now time to remove the deprivations of the tribal people and bring the area at par with the other parts of the KP as announced by the federal and KP governments.

Ajmal Wazir told the delegation that the CM and the Prime Minister Imran Khan has selected him to represent the tribal people to end their decades-long deprivation. He told the delegation that all efforts are being made to facilitate and revive the business activities in all the Tribal districts.

The adviser also slammed the opposition parties and alleged that today they are united to protect the looted money. He alleged that the opposition parties in the past have not done any work for the tribal people and only the PTI has focused on the provision of all basic facilities of life.

The meeting was held in the lawn of Chief Minister’s secretariat on Tuesday. “We all well aware of the issues faced by that trader’s community,” said Ajmal Wazir “ all efforts are being made to facilitate the traders.”  He added that with the efforts of Pak army peace has been restored.
