At Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar, Provincial Minister for Relief Aqibullah Khan inaugurated a free service for transporting bodies of deceased persons arriving from abroad to any district of the province.

According to the Provincial Minister for Relief, Aqibullah Khan, Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has formally launched a free transportation service for bodies arriving from overseas, which will transfer them from the airport to different districts of the province.

He said that overseas Pakistanis are a valuable asset, and standing with their families in difficult times is the responsibility of the government. Providing facilities to grieving families is a service to humanity, and the government is taking practical steps for public welfare.

Aqibullah Khan added that this free body transportation service will reduce the financial burden on affected families, while the bodies arriving from abroad will be transported to their native areas with full respect and dignity.

He further stated that six special ambulances will remain available 24/7 for the transportation of bodies, while a dedicated Rescue 1122 help desk and counter has also been established at Bacha Khan International Airport.

According to the Provincial Minister, citizens can contact the service via 1122, the Rescue help desk, or the Provincial Monitoring Cell. He added that this initiative reflects the government’s commitment to welfare services, trust, and a sense of security for overseas Pakistanis, while Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has become an effective institution providing prompt and quality emergency services.
