According to the Meteorological Department, during Thursday and Friday, most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to experience partly cloudy weather, while strong winds, storms, and rain with thunder are likely in various areas.

On Thursday, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected in Chitral, Dir (Upper and Lower), Swat, Buner, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan (Upper and Lower), Kolai Palas, Battagram, Torghar, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Bajaur, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, and the districts of Waziristan.

Similarly, in Haripur, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Charsadda, Peshawar, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Tank, and Dera Ismail Khan, isolated rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is expected during the evening and night hours. Some areas may also experience hailstorms and heavy rainfall.

On Friday, rain with strong winds, storms, and thunderstorms is expected in almost all districts of the province. Rain is likely to continue in both upper and plain areas, while hailstorms and heavy rainfall may occur at some places.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is an increased risk of landslides in mountainous regions during the expected weather conditions, while heavy rains may cause flash flooding and rising water levels in streams and rivers.

It further warned that strong winds, hailstorms, and lightning may damage weak structures, electricity poles, billboards, solar panels, and standing crops.

Citizens and tourists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and adopt precautionary safety measures.

During the past 24 hours, most areas of the province remained dry; however, light rain with thunder was recorded in Kurram district.
