Packaged cooking oil, ghee and milk: nearly 36% of samples found substandard.

According to the Ministry of Planning, a laboratory report on the quality of packaged cooking oil, ghee and milk examined 491 samples. Of these, 176 failed to meet national quality standards, while 315 samples were found to be compliant.

The report stated that 98 out of 204 samples of vegetable ghee, 40 out of 146 samples of blended cooking oil, and 26 out of 104 samples of packaged liquid milk were found to be substandard.

Similarly, 8 out of 18 milk powder samples, 3 out of 4 refined palm oil samples, and 1 out of 13 refined canola oil samples failed to meet national standards.
