JAMRUD, May 11: Representatives of the dissolved associations of teachers in Khyber Agency have criticised the ban on formation of the unions by government employees in FATA region.
Two days ago, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Mehtab Abbasi dissolved all unions of government employees in the tribal areas and imposed ban on formation of the unions in future.
The Khyber Agency Teachers Union President, Gulab Khan, told journalists that all the unions worked for the rights of the employees. He added that banning formation of such associations was like usurping the rights the workers.
“In our tribal areas, we are facing so many problems. Employees of various government departments solve many of their problems through unions. We will raise voice for this right,” he said.
