Nowshera District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Asif Khan has sentenced the prime accused, Abdar, to three counts of the death penalty and imposed a fine of Rs 1.4 million for the rape, torture, and murder of eight-year-old Auz Noor in Ziarat Kaka Sahib.
According to the prosecution, on January 18, 2020, the minor girl was abducted while returning home from a madrassa. She was sexually assaulted and then thrown into a water tank, leading to her death.
Senior lawyer Ijaz Muhammad Advocate represented the victim’s father during the trial, while senior Peshawar-based lawyer Shabbir Gangiani Advocate appeared on behalf of the accused.
The accused had filed bail petitions in the District and Sessions Court Nowshera, the Peshawar High Court, and the Supreme Court of Pakistan—all of which were rejected.
Following the sentencing, Abdaar was transferred to Central Jail Mardan under tight security.
