The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has amended its policy regarding the recruitment quota for children of government employees who die or become disabled while in service, making married daughters also eligible for government jobs under the quota.

According to a notification issued by the Human Resource Management Department, previous directives issued in 2020 and 2023 in this regard have been withdrawn.

Under the previous instructions, married daughters were required to meet conditions such as separation from their husbands and financial dependence on their parents to qualify for a government job under the quota.

According to the notification, the decision was made in light of an order issued by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on March 17, 2025, and the legal opinion of the Law Department.
