According to the Meteorological Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is experiencing extreme cold weather, with temperatures dropping below -8°C in some areas.
The department predicts cold weather across most districts of the province, with severe cold expected in upper regions. Notably, the Garam Chashma area of Chitral recorded a bone-chilling temperature of -8°C.
In other parts of the province, the temperature has also dipped significantly: Lutkho's (or Lotkhow and Lutkoh's) Mogh village in Chitral recorded -7°C, Kalam -5°C, Malam Jabba -4°C, Lower Chitral -1°C, Dir -3°C, Swat’s Saidu Sharif 2°C, Parachinar -1°C, and Dera Ismail Khan 5°C.

The Meteorological Department has forecast cold and dry weather for most of the country, with extreme cold conditions likely to persist in mountainous regions.
Residents in affected areas are advised to take necessary precautions as the freezing temperatures are expected to continue.
