Militants Attack Police Checkpost in Peshawar, One Officer Injured

PESHAWAR: A police officer was injured when militants opened fire on a police checkpost in the Regi area of Peshawar. The attackers fled after police personnel returned fire.

This attack comes just a day after a police checkpost in Peshawar’s Aderm area was targeted on Monday, resulting in the martyrdom of police officer Saeedullah. Before that, another police attack occurred near the Takht Bhai ruins, claiming the life of one officer.

Attacks on police and law enforcement personnel continue unabated in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other regions of the country.
