
MARDAN, September 2: Authorities blocked the Islamabad-Peshawar section of motorway for some time today because of protests of political party activists.
Officials of the Peshawar administration say they blocked the motorway because of uncertain political situation. Today Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf activists blocked the road in Charsadda district till 5pm; however, it was reopened later on.
Local residents say GT Road was also blocked for traffic between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab provinces and people used the Sarikot route for movement. The GT road has been reopened now.
