PESHAWAR, June 4: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested an official of the Higher Education Commission on charges of misappropriating 7 million rupees.
According to the NAB inquiry, the HEC secretary Mr Gulzar Ahmed had deposited registration fees of various universities and colleges in his personal account, instead of the HEC account. He also allegedly took travelling allowances from certain organisations during visits.
