GHALLANAI, July 18: Tribespeople in Mohmand Agency are facing problems because electricity transformer of NADRA office in agency headquarters Ghallanai is out of order for the last three months.
Up to 200 people, including women, have submitted application forms for making their computerised national identity cards at the NADRA, which is a government department managing database of Pakistani nationals.
Owing to out-of-order electricity transformer, the NADRA staff is also in trouble as nowadays office work is carried out through an electric generator but it is impossible to rely on generator the whole day because the office is usually overcrowded with applicants.
An official of the political administration said they had filed a complaint to the WAPDA, the national electric company, and that the power transformer would be replaced soon.
