The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued an alert for various regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, warning of heavy rains and potential flooding in the coming days.
According to the alert, heavy rainfall is expected in Hazara, Malakand Division, Peshawar, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Hangu, Haripur, and Kohat. Additionally, the districts of Kurram, Lakki Marwat, Mohmand, Orakzai, and Waziristan are also likely to experience significant rainfall.
The NDMA has cautioned that the heavy rains could lead to flooding in rivers and streams, posing a significant risk to the affected areas. Authorities have advised residents to take precautionary measures against possible flooding and landslides and to make appropriate arrangements in case of an emergency.

In light of the landslide risks, the administration has advised tourists to avoid traveling to mountainous regions. Relevant departments have been issued advisories to prepare for potential emergencies. Citizens and local administrations have also been urged to make necessary arrangements to mitigate the impact of the expected weather conditions.
The NDMA warned that urban flooding could occur in several cities due to the anticipated rainfall, with the risk of flash floods in hilly areas and swelling of rivers and streams. The NDMA emphasized the need for proactive measures to minimize potential damage and ensure public safety.
