Security forces and law enforcement agencies have killed nine suspected militants, including a commander, in two separate operations in Balochistan, security officials said.

In Mastung, security forces targeted a vehicle carrying members of Fitna al-Hindustan with a quadcopter. Three militants, including commander Naqeeb, were killed in the operation, while their vehicle was completely destroyed, according to security sources.

The sources said security operations would continue until the last militant was eliminated.

Separately, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Saranan area of Pishin. Six suspected militants were killed in an exchange of fire, the CTD said.

Four CTD personnel were also injured during the operation. Weapons and explosives were recovered from the slain suspects, who were reportedly affiliated with a banned organisation.

The CTD said the militants were involved in attacks on security forces and civilians.
