In a chilling late-night robbery in the jurisdiction of Bannu’s Mira Khel Police Station, a Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) employee was brutally murdered during a snatching attempt. 

The victim, identified as Jasim Khan, son of Nawab Ali and a resident of Nasar Khel, Lakki Marwat, was shot and had his throat slit with a sharp-edged weapon.

According to police sources, the incident occurred while the victim was returning home when two armed men attempted to rob him. Upon resistance, the assailants first shot him and then killed him by slitting his throat.

Remarkably, SHO Cantonment Police Station Bannu, Damsaz Khan, who was off-duty and at home, heard the gunfire. Using a thermal scope, he spotted two individuals attacking the victim. 

He and his brother immediately rushed to the scene and managed to apprehend both suspects on the spot.

Police recovered a 30-bore pistol, the knife used in the murder, along with the victim’s mobile phone and wallet from the suspects’ possession.
