BANNU, August 6: A meeting of principals and headmasters of Bannu and North Waziristan was held under the supervision of Director Education FATA to resume educational activities of the students uprooted from North Waziristan.

Director Education FATA, Mr Roz Wali Khan, said there were up to 80,000 students enrolled in the educational institutions of North Waziristan. He said the displaced students staying in Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Karak would be enrolled in educational institutions of the areas.

He said the teachers would also have to ensure regular attendance at schools.

“We have written letters to chief secretary and heads of colleges to enroll IDPs in their institutions and to arrange evening shifts for them if they cannot be accommodated in morning classes,” he added.
