Over 700 Pakistanis, Including 216 Students, Return from Iran via Taftan Amid Ongoing Iran-Israel Conflict

Authorities confirmed that 160 other Pakistani nationals and five buses carrying 214 Pakistani students studying in Iran also entered the country via the Taftan border.

Over 700 Pakistanis, including 216 students, have returned to the country through the Taftan border crossing as the evacuation of nationals from Iran continues amid the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.

On Monday alone, more than 374 individuals crossed into Pakistan via Taftan. 

According to immigration officials, the returnees include pilgrims, traders, students, and other Pakistani citizens. They were brought to the border in a convoy of nine buses.

Authorities confirmed that 160 other Pakistani nationals and five buses carrying 214 Pakistani students studying in Iran also entered the country via the Taftan border.

Extraordinary security arrangements were put in place to ensure the safe arrival of returnees from Iran.

Immigration officials further stated that while entry from Iran into Pakistan is permitted, Pakistani citizens are currently not allowed to travel to Iran.
