PESHAWAR, May 19: Owners of flourmills in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have asked the provincial government of Punjab to resume wheat supply.

The president of All Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Flourmills Association, Mr Arif Ashraf, told reporters at the Peshawar Press Club that the Punjab government had stopped wheat supply to the province for the last one and a half months.

He said about 180 flourmills had closed and thousands of labourers lost jobs. They said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa mills would stop flour supply to Afghanistan if wheat supply from Punjab did not resume.
