
PESHAWAR, August 23: Pakistan has beaten the host Sri Lankan team by four wickets in the first of the three one day international matches’ series.
Pakistan invited Sri Lanka players for bating first after winning the toss, after which Sri Lanka scored 275 runs at loss of seven wickets in specified 45 overs.
In response, the Pakistani team chased down the target through six wickets in the last over. Pakistani player Mr Sohaib Maqsood scored 89 runs while Mr Fawad Alam made 62 runs.
The second one day match will be played on 26 August.
