The Government of Pakistan has announced the temporary reopening of the Torkham border crossing.
According to official sources, the border will be opened from 9 a.m. on Saturday exclusively for Afghan families wishing to return to Afghanistan.
Sources clarified that all commercial activities and routine pedestrian movement on both sides will remain suspended.

The move is aimed solely at facilitating the voluntary return of Afghan nationals who wish to leave Pakistan.
Officials further said that verbal instructions regarding the reopening have been received, but a formal notification has not yet been issued. However, relevant staff have been directed to report for duty on Saturday morning.
