Karachi: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the sacrifices of the nation and the support of the people are Pakistan's greatest strength, adding that the country is playing a positive role in promoting peace at the global level. He also praised the Pakistan Navy for its outstanding performance during the Battle for Truth ("Maarka-e-Haq").

Addressing the passing-out parade at the Pakistan Naval Academy (PNS Rahbar) in Karachi, the prime minister said that in the current global environment, peace, cooperation, and dialogue are more important than ever. He reiterated that Pakistan has always sought to resolve disputes through negotiations and diplomacy.

Congratulating the graduating cadets, he said their achievement was a matter of pride for the entire nation and expressed confidence that they would play a vital role in serving and defending the country.

The prime minister said the Pakistan Naval Academy is producing highly trained officers, while the Pakistan Navy is not only strengthening the country's defence but also contributing significantly to peace and stability in the region.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that Pakistan continues to face both internal and external challenges, alleging that foreign elements are involved in fueling terrorism within the country. He said the government and the armed forces remain fully committed to eliminating terrorism.

He further stated that Pakistan's role in the agreement between the United States and Iran was a matter of pride, saying Islamabad signed the memorandum of understanding as a mediator, while Field Marshal Asim Munir made important efforts to promote peace.

The prime minister reaffirmed that Pakistan has always supported peace and dialogue. He also expressed hope that the recent visit of the Iranian president would further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations, adding that Pakistan stands with the people of Kashmir, Palestine, and Gaza.
