In a significant development, a local peace jirga successfully secured the release of security guards from a private bank and Frontier Corps (FC) personnel who were kidnapped from Daraban Road, Sago, and Tank Road.
According to sources, four security guards were abducted by unknown armed men on July 9 after a cash van was looted. The families of the kidnapped guards had protested outside the residence of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, demanding their release.

Meanwhile, three FC personnel who were kidnapped from Tank Road two weeks ago have also been recovered.
