PESHAWAR, September 24: The police and army personnel have arrested 47 suspects during a joint search operation and also recovered stolen vehicles and arms in the provincial capital Peshawar.

The police say they held search operation last night and today morning in Banamarhi, Nauthia, Gulberg, Humayun Abad, Shuba Bazaar, Supermarket, Gul Abad and other areas to arrest the perpetrators of the 23 September bomb attack on Frontier Constabulary convoy.

Meanwhile, the police have completed the first inquiry report of the bomb attack on the FC convoy. The report says the main target of the attack was the deputy chief of the FC, Brigadier Khalid Javed, and the car used in the blast had a computerised number plate.

On 23 September, the explosion left five people dead, including one FC personnel, and 18 others injured.
