
PESHAWAR, June 18: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar has announced results of the ninth and tenth classes.
As per the results, more than 136,000 students appeared in the secondary school certificate examination, of whom 81% candidates succeeded.
In Science Group, Mr Umar Ghafoor of Peshawar Public School and College clinched first position, Ms Fatima of the New Islamic Public High School got second position while Ms Hajra Qaiser of the said school got third position in the board.
In Arts Group, Mr Muhammad Tayyab of Hafiz Secondary School Warsak Road got first position, Ms Mahnoor of Peshawar Model Girls High School stood second and Ms Shakila of Hamza Girls High School, Bara got third position.
On 17 June, a meeting was held in the board office, with Chairman Dr Shafi Afridi in the chair. A cash prize of 50,000 rupees was awarded to the first position holders, while those who got second and third position were awarded 45000 and 40,000 rupees, respectively.
