Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi laid the foundation stone of an overpass project at the Hayatabad Interchange on Peshawar Ring Road.
Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Minister said that under the Peshawar Revitalization Plan, an overpass consisting of 6 lanes is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1,257 million. The purpose of the project is to reduce traffic problems in the city and provide better travel facilities to citizens.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has presented a people-friendly budget and that the year 2026-27 will prove to be a year of peace, development, and prosperity. He added that the Peshawar Revitalization Plan includes development projects worth Rs 200 billion, which are a major gift for the people of Peshawar.

The Chief Minister said that the people of Peshawar have always embraced the people of the merged tribal districts and the Malakand region, and in the same spirit, major projects are being undertaken to develop and modernize the city.
Muhammad Sohail Afridi said that it is the government’s top priority to convey Chairman Imran Khan’s vision to the public. He claimed that certain elements are spreading fabricated propaganda to defame the government, but the government has foiled all such attempts.
He said that those making allegations of corruption have been asked to provide evidence, but no credible proof has been presented so far. The Chief Minister stated that no one talks about alleged corruption in the federal government, while there are also obstacles in the pursuit of justice.
He alleged that the media and judicial system are being paralyzed, while in Punjab, PTI leadership and workers are being subjected to fascism.
The Chief Minister said that he cannot be deterred by any pressure or force and that he will stand with Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf till his last drop of blood.
