In Peshawar, unidentified armed men opened fire on renowned urologist Professor Dr. Asif Malik, leaving him seriously injured.

According to the police, the incident occurred during the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, when the attackers targeted him in his car near his home.

The police said that the suspects managed to escape the scene after the attack, and an investigation into the incident has begun. The shooting took place in the limits of Circular Road Town.

Sources reported that Dr. Asif Malik was immediately taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he is receiving medical treatment. He is also the Chairman of Peshawar General Hospital, Hayatabad.
