PESHAWAR, May 26: The Prime Minister, Mr Nawaz Sharif, attended the oath-taking ceremony of Indian Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, and said he would meet his Indian counterpart the next day, ie 27 May.
Before leaving for New Dehli, Mr Sharif told media at the Lahore Airport that the meeting and visit would improve ties between the two countries.
Earlier, Mr Sharif congratulated M Modi upon his success in general election and also invited him to visit Pakistan.
In response, Mr Modi invited Pakistani premier to attend his oath-taking ceremony. Mr Modi criticised Pakistan several times prior to winning elections. However, political analysts have termed his invitation to Pakistani premier a positive step.
