BANNU, June 29: Two people including a sub-inspector were shot dead and two people injured in Bannu district, the police say.
The sub-inspector along with his friends was travelling in a car in the precinct of City Police Station when unidentified gunmen opened fire on him at Chambeli Chowk, killing Sub-Inspector Amjad and his friend Waseem on spot while his two other friends Shehzad and Nadeem were injured.
The injured were taken to the Bannu Headquarter Hospital. The police started search operation in the area but no suspect were arrested till filing of this report.
