
PESHAWAR, June 17: A firing incident left a policeman dead in Peshawar city while unidentified miscreants blew up house of a member of peace committee in the suburban Badaber village.
The police say Mr Shaheen was travelling in a convoy patrolling Kotwali Malakpura area at morning when the gunmen opened fire on him, killing him on spot. Other people in the convoy escaped unhurt.
In separate incident, unidentified militants blew up the home and hujra (outhouse) of the member of peace lashkar, Rasool Jan in Badaber area.
The police say the blast and subsequent fire caused millions of rupees loss to Mr Rasool Jan, who along with his family had already migrated to somewhere else in recent past.
