BANNU, May 10: Unidentified armed men killed a policeman in Bannu district, the police said.
Muhammad Ishaq had come to his native Kotka Akhon Dan area on leave when the gunmen shot him dead. The police registered a case against one Naqeeb and said a land dispute was behind the murder.
In another incident, two policemen were travelling in a car towards a police station when unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in Kotka Pashan area. The car was damaged in the firing; however, the policemen survived the attack.
