A police vehicle assigned to a Chinese security escort crashed near the Colonel Sher Khan Interchange on the Islamabad–Peshawar Motorway while attempting to avoid a passenger car.

 The accident claimed the life of the squad's in-charge, Head Constable Faheem Khan, while the driver, Constable Fawad Khan, and three other police commandos sustained serious injuries.

According to DSP Akora Khattak Adnan Azam, the incident occurred when the ZRK Chinese Security Squad's police vehicle attempted to avoid a car on the motorway.

Following the crash, teams from the Motorway Police, FWO, and Rescue 1122 shifted the body of the martyred officer and the injured personnel to Mardan Medical Complex.

Upon receiving the report, the DIG Mardan reached the scene, while an investigation into the incident is underway.
